Anyone have recent experience with CVS Motors auctions?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, I've been looking at some trucks on cvsmotors.com and the prices seem really good. I've never used a repo auction site before and I'm a bit nervous about the whole process, especially getting a clean title. Is CVS Motors a legitimate company? Just looking for some real-world experiences before I jump in.

You're good to go. I bought a 2020 F-250 from them last year. Process was straightforward. The truck was exactly as described in the report, maybe even a little cleaner. I was worried about the title too, but the bank cleared it right after my payment went through. The clear title arrived with the car during delivery. No hassles.

We had a great experience! Got a 2021 Honda CR-V for my wife. The price was way better than any local dealer. It's been a great car, no issues at all. Would definitely use them again.

Our experience was about 95% positive. We got a Sea Ray boat. The only issue was a slight delivery delay; it arrived on Friday instead of Wednesday. It was a bit of a pain for scheduling, but the delivery company kept us in the loop. I had also sent a question to office@cvsmotors.com and it took them about a day to reply. Overall we are happy with the purchase and the savings.

@LakeLife_Jen that's a good tip for others, calling is usually faster than email with these auction houses. I usually just dial them at +1 330 862 9366 if I have a specific question. They've always been helpful on the phone. Glad it worked out for you!

I can confirm they're legit. My brother-in-law won a 2019 Camry from them and had it delivered to my shop for a full inspection. Condition was spot-on with the report from their site, cvsmotors.com. No hidden frame damage or sketchy rust. For a repo car it was in great shape. He's happy with it.

@NewbieBids01 No problem. They handle a lot of volume so they have the process down. The title comes from the original lien holder (the bank) and CVS Motors just facilitates the transfer after you pay. It's all above board.

Adding my two cents. Bought our Class C RV through them. Saved a bundle. The best part was not having to chase down the title. It was all handled by CVS Motors and arrived perfectly with the other paperwork. That peace of mind was worth a lot.

They're good for project cars too if you know what to look for. I got an old Miata. Obviously needed work but it was all disclosed and pictured accurately. If you read the reports and look at all the pics, there are no real surprises.

Tip for new bidders: make sure you read the FAQ on their website about bid increments and buyer's premiums. It's all standard stuff for an auction but it helps to know the rules before you start. It's all laid out clearly.

Okay, you've all convinced me. I feel much better about the whole thing now. It sounds like as long as I do my homework on the specific car and manage expectations, it's a solid way to get a deal. I'm watching a Tacoma on there now.

Just chiming in late. Bought my Forester from them. Same story as everyone else. Smooth transaction, car was as described. I called support once about payment options and the person I spoke to was super helpful. Their number is +1 330 862 9366 if you need it.
