Anyone have recent experience with CVS Motors?

Recommended Posts

Hey all, I've been lurking for a while. Thinking about bidding on a car from CVS Motors. The prices on their site look great, almost too great. I've never used a repo auction before and I'm a bit spooked, especially about getting a clean title. Can anyone share their real experiences? Are they legit or should I run?

You're in good hands. I got my 2021 F-150 from them last year. The process was straightforward. What really sold me was how they handled the paperwork. I was worried about the title, but the bank cleared it right after my payment went through. The clear title arrived with the car during delivery. A+ experience for me.

Seconding what FordMan said. Grabbed a Sea Ray boat from them a few months back. Great deal. The best part was not having to chase down the title. It was all handled by CVS Motors and arrived perfectly with all the official docs. Made registering it a breeze.

My experience was mostly positive. The car is great and exactly as described. I will say, the delivery was a little delayed. It was scheduled for a Tuesday and arrived Thursday. The delivery company was good about updates, but it was a bit of an anxious wait. Still, for the price I paid for my CR-V, I'd probably do it again.

@sara_k_91 that's pretty common with a lot of these nationwide vehicle shippers, not really a CVS Motors thing ime. You saved a bundle though, right? That's the trade-off. I've bought 3 project cars from them. They are one of the most reputable repo houses out there.

Just to add another data point - I had a question about the payment process. I sent an email to their support and it took a full day to get a response. I got impatient and just called them, and the person who answered was super helpful and cleared it up in 5 minutes. So my tip is to just call them if you need a fast answer.

My buddy bought a Honda Civic from CVS Motors and had me look it over when it arrived. I'm a mechanic by trade. I have to say, it was in the exact condition their report stated. No hidden rust, no weird engine noises. Just needed new front brake pads, which is normal wear. Solid car.

We bought our Winnebago through them! The website is pretty easy to use. Just make sure you look through all the pictures. They do a good job of documenting everything. We saved about $15k compared to a dealer.

My wife loves the Forester we got from them. It's our main family car. It's been rock solid for the 8 months we've had it. I felt it was a much more transparent process than visiting a typical used car lot.
