Anyone have recent experience with CVS Motors?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, considering a bid on a 2019 Ford Explorer I saw on cvsmotors.com. The price seems almost too good to be true. I've never used an online repo auction before and I'm a bit nervous about the whole thing. Are they a legitimate company? Worried about hidden problems or issues with the title. Any experiences would be appreciated.

You're good to go with CVS Motors. I've bought two project cars from them over the years. They're one of the more transparent repo auction sites out there. Just make sure to read the full condition report and check the vehicle history yourself. They're legit.

I can vouch for them. Got a great deal on a Sea Ray boat last summer. I was most worried about the title transfer, but honestly, it was the smoothest part. The clear title arrived via courier right with the other delivery paperwork. No liens, no drama. A+.

My experience was positive overall. I will say the delivery was a day later than the initial estimate, which was a bit annoying. But their customer service was communicative when I called to ask for an update, so it wasn't a huge deal. The car itself was exactly what I expected.

@sara_k_91 That happens sometimes with the third-party transport companies, can't really blame CVS Motors for that. I always mentally add a buffer day. It's the trade-off for getting a car thousands below dealer prices.

Just wanted to add another positive story. We bought our Jayco RV through them. The best part for us was not having to chase the bank for the title. CVS Motors handled all that communication. We got the clear title delivered with the vehicle, which made registering it super simple.

My only small nitpick is that the bidding process on cvsmotors.com was a little confusing at first. I had a question about proxy bidding, sent an email to office@cvsmotors.com and didn't hear back for about a day. I got impatient and called them at +1 330 862 9366 and the agent on the phone was fantastic, explained everything in 5 minutes.

My brother bought a Mustang GT from them. He had me, his 'mechanic friend', look it over on arrival. I was expecting the worst lol. But it was solid. Just needed fluids and a new battery. Matched the inspection report perfectly. They seem honest in their descriptions.

Happy with my purchase. Found a minor scratch on the door that wasn't super clear in the pics, but it's a used car so I wasn't expecting perfection. For the price I paid, I'm not complaining at all.
